Programme Run-down

Infant Programme 0-12 months

11:45am-12:45pm (Mon-Sat)

  • 'Free playtime' includes activities using age-appropriate toys, play structures, and materials to allow babies to explore the environment, feel secure, and develop coordination and self-esteem.

  • 'Sensory Experience' - Children will be introduced to different sensory activities to stimulate their senses which is essential for their cognitive, emotional, and social development.

  • 'Movement activities' enable the development of gross motor skills, balance, agility, social interaction, and more! Such activities include baby-led locomotion (free movement) crawling, and supervised tummy time.

  • 'Circle time' - 'Rhythmic songs and rhymes create unity of sound and sense, and repetition to assist memory, and reduce stress while offering a sense of belonging and familiarity.

  • 'Reflection' gives teachers and caregivers time to reflect upon the day’s class, share stories, and ask questions, if any! A farewell song is shared to offer a sense of closure and transition back to home.

It’s important to note that the class schedule for our 'Infant Programme' is a guide and may be adapted and modified, as needed, to promote a flexible and responsive environment to meet the individual needs of each child based on their developmental stages.

Documentation - how can I track my child's progress?

A central feature of the Reggio Emilia approach is extensive documentation through observation, reflection, and analysis by teachers of children's development and behaviour. Children will keep documentation records of their learning and experiences in the classroom which they can take home and share with their loved ones!
